Education Secretary Gavin Williamson: I'll fight for classroom investment
Gavin Williamson chatted to pupils during his visit to Brindley Heath Primary School.
The Education Secretary made the pledge during a visit to Brindley Heath Primary School in Kinver, where he met with headmaster Jimmy Martin and Manor Academy Trust chief executive, Anita Cliff, to discuss funding needs.
The Government is ploughing £14bn into education across the country, with each pupil due a minimum of £3,750 per year.
South Staffordshire MP Mr Williamson, said: "It’s great to come and visit Brindley Heath and I had an extremely productive afternoon with the headteacher and governors, where we have discussed the fantastic teaching methods that are benefitting pupils every day.
"I would like to praise the school and their brilliant teachers for their continued hard work, and I will be fighting to gain vital investment into the school."
